Saturday's Wimborne Minster Food & Drink Festival promises to be our best ever! If you get to the Cornmarket by 11 am you'll be able to watch some of Dorset's best chefs in action - Mark Hartstone from La Fosse, David Griffin-Shepherd from La Fleur de Lys in Shaftesbury, Pete Murt from Rick Stein's in Sandbanks, and Sarah Ali (pictured).
Mark is the chef proprietor of La Fosse, an award-winning chef and winner of Dorset Chef of the Year 2015. With his wife, he runs the Cranborne restaurant with rooms, which has been voted finalist in Dorset's Best Restaurant for the fourth time in six years.
David is the chef proprietor of the 2 AA Rosette multi award-winning restaurant with rooms, La Fleur de Lys which he runs with his wife, Mary, and chef partner, Marc. They are passionate about food and use fresh produce from the local area as well as local suppliers.
Pete, who is head chef at Rick Stein Sandbanks, started his career in St Petroc's Bistro in Padstow 16 years ago. He has travelled extensively around Central America, Asia and Australia and has worked in the two Michelin starred restaurants.
Sarah is a mum of four so knows all about efficient time management when it comes to meal times. She will demonstrate quick and easy preparation in our demo kitchen and reveal the secrets of Sarah's Easy Chicken Curry. Sarah is currently appearing on Channel 4's My Kitchen Rules UK.
