Wimborne Minster Food & Drink Festival is almost with us and I am thrilled to announce that we have Dorset Chef of the Year 2015, Mark Hartstone, starring in our demonstration kitchen in the Cornmarket!
Mark is the chef and proprietor of the La Fosse in Cranborne and has won many accolades over the years. He will be starting off proceedings at midday (there's restricted seating so please arrive promptly for Mark's cooking masterclass). We also have a fascinating cook-off entitled 'Hix verses Pig' starring James Golding and Kevin Gratton at 1.30 pm - I've already reserved my seat!
Whilst you're in the Cornmarket do pop into the wine tastings, hosted by Andrew David Associates. The Wine Crew will be popping corks and opening screwtops in a series of wine tastings throughout the day and this will be a perfect complement to the cookery demonstrations also taking place in the Cornmarket. These tastings are expected to be popular and you can obtain free tickets at the Tourist Information Office in the High Street. The Wine Crew are enthusiasts for wine with a knowledge built up over many years of sampling and travel to vineyards across the globe.
So, if you are need of some cooking or wine tasting therapy, make sure you don't miss this cornucopia of food and drink in the Cornmarket. See you there!
